Well HIDY THERE! I’m Anna. My everyday job is a wife and mother of two boys who are as different as night and day. My day job is an assistant controller at a contract manufacturing company in Eastern Kentucky. My in between time is spent researching and growing Busy Cook’s Plan. Most importantly, I am an un-perfect child of God.
I started Busy Cook’s Plan because I wanted to provide a resource for other busy ladies to quickly plan their weekly meals; so they spend less time and money in the fast food drive thru and have that money to do with whatever they like.
Well, I’m not going to say just a resource. I want this to be the absolute BEST resource and the one place you think of when you just need some easy suggestions.
I was in that very same position. As a matter of fact it was very well known with my family and coworkers that I hardly ever cooked and found myself in the McDonald’s drive thru several times a week.
Can you say McD Queen? Yep, that was me! It was actually kinda embarrassing.
You see, we were and still are in way too much debt. When I first started it was right at $90,000 and that is without a mortgage. OUCH!
So I had to start a budget and figure out how to stay within my means.
Before this budget I was spending $200 and sometimes more on food EACH WEEK.
Yes. I said sometimes more. It was awful!
So, I set out to figure out how to spend less on food.
Of course, spending right at $30 per trip to McD for a family of four was a pretty big bill.
So, the drive thru had to go. I’m not going to set here and act like it was easy because IT WAS NOT!
This is where having a plan and sticking to it helped so much. Trust me. If I can stop the drive thru’s then so can you.
So, after I had my plan figured out then I set out to look for easy meals so I wouldn’t find myself back in the drive thru.
During my research there was this one food blog that I signed up for their newsletter. I started to receiving their emails and LOVED THEM! They were super short and to the point. Not overwhelming at all.
So, it got me thinking…
Wouldn’t it be nice to have a place where you can just see a few recipes at once centered around one central idea and have those recipes to give some basic info? Enough info so that you can make a quick decision if you want to try it out.
And wouldn’t it be nice to be able to receive recipes based on just a few answered questions? Like, for instance, you have 15 minutes to fix dinner and you would like to fix something with ground beef.
Well, you would have only recipes that has the main ingredient of ground beef and takes 15 minutes or less to cook. You know like a meal planner where you choose what you want.
So, not being a very creative person myself, I set out to ask other recipe creators if I could put their recipes on this little ole blog so you can have an easy resource.
There were so many that Said Yes!
Now, if you would also like to stop watching your money disappear into thin air on food then here is the very first step to take to get started in a better direction.
Grab my FREE guide to teach you how to stay out of the drive thru. This is the VERY SAME STEPS I took to put more than $4000 back in pocket during one year JUST FROM FOOD.
In the meantime, shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know why you want to do better with your food budget.
