This one will be super short but is very, very important.
Remember way back there when I mentioned creating habits? This is where that happens.
This is the starting point of creating a habit that will change your life and how you feel every day. This is the point that create a habit that will save you the money you keep spending on food.
Really what we are talking about here is creating new behaviors that become automatic. In order for those behaviors to become automatic you need to do them consistently. So, you want to choose a meal planning day and a shopping day that you can stick to.
You will want to plan these days on what works best in your calendar. If you choose to meal plan on a day that is already super busy for you then it is going to be easier for you to decide not to do your meal plan.
But you also want to plan your meal planning session to where it makes sense for your shopping day.
Keep in mind that if you do your shopping online then you may want to plan your meal planning session and your shopping on the same day.
For me, I do my meal planning and online shopping on Thursday so I can pick up my groceries on Friday after I get off work. I like have a good stock of groceries going into the weekend.
What days work best for you?
Next, we will into the big one… you guessed it. The actual act of meal planning!
Action Steps to Complete Before You Continue
